The Do’s and Don’ts of Dumpster Rentals

Selecting a dumpster can be a difficult and confusing process. From the size, to how far ahead you should call, it can be difficult to gauge exactly where to start. There are many things you will need to take into consideration and make sure to remember when getting your first dumpster. Let’s take a look at the do’s and don’ts of dumpster rentals

Do’s:

Go with a reputable company: By going with a reputable company, you will be able to ensure that you will be getting a relatively good service, without having been with that company before.

Call ahead: Make sure to call ahead about a container. From 7-10 days before, to even more beforehand, this will ensure that you get the container or dumpster that you need for your project.

Select the right size: It is extremely crucial to get the right size of the container. This is important because you would not want to under or overestimate your needs. You will want to have an estimate of your needs before you even call the container company.

Don’ts:

Don’t overload the container: As mentioned above, you will want to make sure that you do not underestimate the amount of space you need to get rid of all your items. Similarly, if you do overload the dumpster or container, the container company may not accept this back with all of the items.

Don’t throw away prohibited items: Prohibited items are crucial to avoid, as they can be very dangerous and cause a lot of problems.

Don’t assume a big company is best: Sometimes larger companies can be difficult to work with because they try to streamline the process. By working with a smaller company, you will find that you have a better experience and a more personable contact with a smaller dumpster rental company.
